Lots 'n' lots of Goals!!

Since my last update I have done a lot of Goals work! Here is what has been going on in the past two weeks.

Goal 17. Use Ticketmaster Tickets - completed!
While in Edmonton we went to Cirque du Soleil's DRALION. It was my very first Cirque experience and was spectacular. I was also happy because we have had these tickets for a long time and we finally got to use them. We had a great night out with my parents, sister and her fiancĂ©.

Goal 7. Visit 10 Victoria/Edmonton Attractions - 2/10
Also while in Edmonton we went to Fort Edmonton. This is a great park that has 4 different "times" which you can explore. There was a 1846's Hudson's Bay Company Fort, 1885 Street - inhabited by farmers in wagons and basic cabins , 1905 Street - the population boom of Edmonton, where a new city can be seen, 1920's Street - modern times. It was a fun afternoon and we especially enjoyed the Hudson's Bay Fort.

Goal 87. Visit Prince Charming's Grandparents - completed!
Prince Charming's grandparents have not been doing well for some time and it has been hard to have visits. To compound this fact they live on a peninsula which we almost never have a reason for going to or through, so a visit from us would have to be a special occasion. For these reasons we haven't seen them for over 2 years. We finally got to have a short visit with them a few days ago. What a wonderful time and how happy it made us. We were very happy to have gone and that they were feeling well enough to let us stop in.

Goal 93. Go to Camp 1x/year - 1/3
The camp that we go to is called Camp Imadene and is a christian camp that my family has been involved with for at least 30-40 years. It is a really neat camp because while they have a few staff that stay all summer each different week has new directors and new "weekly staff". These weekly staff include the kitchen crew, program staff and cabin leaders. Prince Charming and I each got to be a cabin leader for a group of 12 12-14 year olds. We stayed with them for a week, got to know them, play with them and help shepherd them a little bit. While the weather was poor for our week, and Prince Charming had a particularly difficult cabin it was still an amazing week and we finished feeling like Camp is an incredibly important part of church and youth ministry. I am sure we will be back next year!

So for the next few weeks we will be relaxing and waiting for Belle's wedding, then we will be packing our little car and making our final move back to Edmonton. There we will begin to set up house and look for a job. I am sure we will make many other summer memories between now and then!
